Texas Valor Inspection Services is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that offers bonded and insured certified Professional Home Inspections, Commercial Property Condition Assessments (PCAs), and Triple Net Lease Inspections with infrared thermography (IRT) and commercial unmanned aerial system (UAS or drone) photography and inspection services. We are 100% veteran owned and operated here in the greater Austin Metro Area.

Unlike many of the larger companies, we are not a report mill, churning out as many inspections per day as we can. We truly enjoy our work and like to spend quality time with each home in order to generate the most accurate and comprehensive inspection report possible for you, our valued customer. It is for this reason that we typically only schedule only one inspection per day and strive to deliver our reports on the very same day we inspect.

As a 21 year veteran of the US and Texas Military Forces, performing detailed inspections is part of my DNA. Attention to detail and a commitment to getting the job done right the first time has been ingrained by years of performing daily pre-combat checks (PCCs) and pre-combat inspections (PCIs) of gear, systems, mission details, and team members. I have also worked extensively inspecting ongoing wireless infrastructure construction jobs at petrochemical plants throughout Texas and Louisiana for over a decade.

From new construction to previously owned, every home has defects. Don't be caught by surprise. Let me apply my years of experience inspecting, along with the latest infrared thermography (IRT) and drone inspection technology to work for you, providing peace of mind in what is likely the biggest investment of your life. In the military we have a saying, “Know what right looks like”. As a certified professional home inspector, I know what right looks like in a home or building, and as an experienced leader in the military, I know how to put that knowledge to work for you.

I know first-hand the consequences of not getting a home inspection. As it is for many, buying our first home was an entirely new process, stressful, and choices were driven by finances and simply not knowing any better. We bought our first home “as-is” and got a home warranty (that the seller paid for), instead of doing a home inspection. This proved to be a very costly mistake. When we went to sell the home over a decade later, we found major foundation damage that had been there long before we owned the home that needed to be repaired before we could even begin to think of selling the property.

The decision to not get an inspection cost us $13,000. That’s why I chose to become a licensed inspector, as I wouldn’t wish that experience on anybody!

As a professional inspector, my primary objective is to make sure your inspection is thorough, and the report you receive goes above and beyond the standard. My goal is to assist you in your decision to make one of the biggest financial decisions you will ever make. At Texas Valor Inspections, we like to think of our reports as a manual for your home.

When I’m not inspecting, I enjoy coaching baseball, playing golf and spending time in my garage wood-working shop building furniture.

I’m married to Rachel and have three beautiful daughters that keep us on guard at all times!

Associations and Memberships

  • The Certified Commercial Property Inspectors Association (CCPIA) - As trained professional members of the CCPIA, we comply with the International Standards of Practice for Inspecting Commercial Properties (ComSOP) – the industry-accepted commercial inspection guidelines, and a proven process and system.

  • The National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI)– As members of the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors, Texas Valor Inspection Services stays current with applicable building standards and changes, seeks information from other industry professionals, participates in ongoing educational opportunities and endeavors to remain skilled in inspection techniques and reporting requirements.

  • The Austin Board of Realtors (ABOR)– Membership allows Texas Valor Inspection Services access to properties without a Realtor present.

Drone Services

Many home inspectors only inspect roofs from the ground or at the eaves with a ladder. Others will walk your roof, but not the highest and most difficult areas. I am an FAA Certified UAS Part 107 Commercial Drone Pilot and utilize drones to provide a detailed inspection of your home’s roof with a 12 Megapixel / 4K Video camera for high definition pictures and video of even the hardest to reach areas of the roof structure.

In addition to home inspections, I provide many other drone services including, but not limited to, videography, still photography, remote visual inspection, 3D modeling, crop scouting, land mapping and survey.

Infrared Thermography (IRT)

Infrared Termography (thermal imaging) is an advanced, non-invasive technology that allows the home inspector to detect and share information about conditions in their homes or buildings that can't be revealed using conventional inspection methods.

Ancillary inspections are just as important as the reports generated for standard inspections.  For something as specialized as an IRT imaging inspection, it's critical that the information presented meets the clients' needs for information they can use and act on. professional IRT cameras can be used to detect the following and more:

  • Heat loss & air infiltration in walls, ceilings, floors, windows and doors

  • Damaged and/or malfunctioning radiant heating systems

  • Plumbing leaks

  • Hidden roof, window sill, and wall leaks

  • Circuit breakers in need of replacement

VALUES

My values have been shaped by decades of service. As a retired Chief Warrant Officer in the Texas Army National Guard, I have adopted the principals of the US Army’s Leadership Values (LDRSHIP) and incorporated them in my business.

LOYALTY

Bear true faith and allegiance to the U.S. Constitution, the Republic of Texas, may family, my community, my company and my clients.

DUTY

Fulfill my obligations. Doing my duty means more than carrying out my assigned tasks. Duty means being able to accomplish my tasks as part of a team, resisting the temptation to take “shortcuts” that might undermine the integrity of the final product.

RESPECT

Treat people as they should be treated. I pledge to “treat others with dignity and respect while expecting others to do the same.” Respect is what allows us to appreciate the best in other people.

SELFLESS SERVICE

Put the welfare of the nation, the state, and the client before my own. The basic building block of selfless service is the commitment to go a little further, endure a little longer, and look a little closer to see how I add to the effort.

HONOR

Honor is a matter of carrying out, acting, and living the values of respect, duty, loyalty, selfless service, integrity and personal courage in everything I do.

INTEGRITY

Do what’s right, legally and morally. I pledge not to do or say nothing that deceives others.

PERSONAL COURAGE

Facing fear, danger or adversity (physical or moral) by daily standing up for and acting upon the things that I know are honorable.
